About the Family of Nazareth

The neocatechumenal way, being an itinerary of catholic formation within the dioceses, through services freely given, has no material goods of its own. Every service is offered on a voluntary basis.
To support initiatives and activities for the evangelization realized through the neocatechumenal way in Ireland has been erected an autonomous no profit company named “family of Nazareth”, with juridical personality, regulated by its own statutes.
The company, a charity, was incorporated under the companies act, 1963 to 2001 on the 17th day of December 2002, with number 365342, and has been recognised of public utility by the Irish government.

The main object of the family of Nazareth non-profit company is to support and promote the implementation of the neocatechumenal way in Ireland.

Other objects are: to promote the catholic faith, to organize convivences, pilgrimages and to support the missionary work of itinerant catechists, itinerant, presbyters and families in mission.

The family of Nazareth specifically promotes the vocations and formation of priests for the “new evangelization” and supports the diocesan “Redemptoris Mater” seminary.

The family of Nazareth no profit-company is strictly run on a voluntary basis and with no employees.

As clearly stated in the memorandum of the company (art. 8) “the income and property of the company shall be applied solely towards the promotion if its main object as set forth in this memorandum of association.
No portion of the company’s income and property shall be paid or transferred directly or indirectly by way of dividend, bonus or otherwise howsoever by way of profit to members of the company. no member of the administrative council, board of directors, council of management or executive committee, and guarantee committee by whatever title called shall be appointed to any office of the company paid by salary or fees, or receive any remuneration or other benefit in money or money’s worth from the company
